8 festive cocktails to impress your guests this Christmas
Toast to Christmas with a cocktail or mocktail of your choice. Discover a new favourite with these eight delightful recipes. Whether you prefer fruity, spicy, sour or zesty… there’s something for everyone!
Clover Club
Crushed ice
50ml gin
25ml lemon juice
20ml raspberry syrup
1 egg whites
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in the gin, lemon juice, raspberry syrup and egg white. Shake well and strain into Hepburn Coupe glass. If you don’t have raspberry syrup, you can muddle 3 or 4 fresh raspberries with 15ml simple sugar syrup.
Espresso Martini
50ml vodka
35ml coffee liqueur
30ml freshly brewed espresso
Coffee beans, to serve
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in the vodka, coffee liqueur and espresso. Shake well and strain into Bar & Table Martini glass. Garnish with coffee beans.
Aperol Spritz
Ice cubes
90ml Prosecco
60ml Aperol
30ml soda water
Orange, to serve
Fill Pure Bourgogne glass with ice cubes. Pour in the Prosecco, Aperol and soda water. Stir well and garnish with a slice of orange.
Chilli Lime Margarita
Serves 2
1 tsp salt flakes
1 tbsp sugar
¼ tsp chilli flakes
125ml lime juice
1 red chilli, sliced
4 lime slices
125ml silver tequila
45ml simple sugar syrup
Crushed ice, to serve
Extra chilli, to serve
Combine salt, sugar and chilli flakes. Dip rims of Big Top glasses into some of the lime juice, then into the salt mixture. Muddle together the remaining lime juice, chilli, lime slices, tequila and sugar syrup. Strain into the prepared glasses and serve with ice and extra chilli.
Rosé Cider Cocktail
Serves 2
330ml Zeffer Rosé Cider with Berry Infusion
25ml gin
50ml cranberry juice
15ml lime juice
Strawberries, to serve
Lime, to serve
Fill Glow Tumbler with ice cubes. Pour in the Zeffer Rosé Cider, gin, cranberry juice and lime. Stir well and garnish with strawberries and a slice of lime.
Pimm’s Cup
Ice cubes
60ml Pimm’s No 1
90ml lemonade or ginger ale
Lemon, to serve
Strawberries, to serve
Mint sprigs, to serve
Fill Mirage High Ball glass with ice cubes. Pour in the Pimm’s No 1 and lemonade or ginger ale. Stir well and garnish with lemon wedges, strawberries and mint.
Pomegranate Gin Fizz
50ml Prosecco
15ml gin
25ml pomegranate juice
Pomegranate seeds, to serve
Mix together Prosecco, gin and pomegranate juice. Pour into Vinifera Champagne glass. Garnish with pomegranate seeds.
Sparkling Berry Mocktail
Ice
⅓ cup mixed berries
75ml soda water
75ml lemonade
30ml cranberry juice
Lemon, to serve
Mint sprigs, to serve
Fill Big Top Highball glass with ice cubes and mixed berries. Pour in the soda water, lemonade and cranberry juice. Stir well and garnish with lemon and mint.
