Città at home: what we're watching right now
As the evenings grow longer, we’ve been retreating to the living room to cosy up on the sofa. It’s the perfect setting to tune into our favourite TV shows and movies for some much-needed escapism. We asked five of our team members to share what they’ve been watching.

Who are you isolating with & where?
I’m isolating with my family in West Auckland. In my bubble is my partner Josh, and our children Rose (7), Tom (5) and cat Sid (3).
What are you currently watching?
We have been watching a cartoon series with the kids called Avatar: The Last Airbender.
What do you love about it?
We follow the story of 12-year-old Aang as he fulfils his destiny as the ‘Avatar’ to restore harmony in a war-torn world. The world the writers have created is incredibly detailed and layered. The protagonists have a real depth of character, so you invest in them straight away. It’s packed full of empathy and manages to tackle some pretty dark subject matter but frames it in a way kids can relate to.
Kids love the magic (and adults for that matter!), the fantastical creatures, the amazing array of characters, their get-ups—and not to mention their powers! When I asked my daughter Rose what she loved about it, one of the things she described was the very detailed illustrations, “so you can really imagine the world”.

Who are you isolating with & where?
I’m with my partner at Waihi Beach—an ideal isolation spot.
What are you currently watching?
We have just started season 3 of Ozark. The new release was perfectly timed with the lockdown!
What do you love about it?
I love how it keeps its intensity without having to be action-packed. It’s centred around a wiz accountant who gets in too deep with the wrong people. It’s definitely not a ‘one episode a night’ kind of show.
Warehouse Manager: Simon Rabbidge
Who are you isolating with & where?
At home in Auckland’s Waitakere Ranges with my wife, four kids, dog, cat, and five chickens.
What are you currently watching?
We’re currently watching season 3 of Ozark and recently watched the film Ford v Ferrari.
What do you love about it?
Ford v Ferrari has a bit of comedy and a bit of tragedy. There are some great cars and it has New Zealand’s sporting history as a backdrop.

Who are you isolating with & where?
I'm isolating in Auckland with my partner and two flatmates Aron and Lance—it's a full house (of boys!).
What is something you’ve watched that you’d recommend right now?
Money Heist (La Casa de Papel). Do yourself a favour and watch it in Spanish with English subtitles—the English dub is sub-par.
What do you love about it?
It’s about eight thieves who, taking hostages, lock themselves in the Royal Mint of Spain. They manipulate the police to help them carry out their plan of printing and stealing billions of Euros. It’s 1000% binge-worthy and so addictive it should probably come with a health warning!

Who are you isolating with & where?
I am currently isolating with my partner and his cat Bear in West Melton—a 40-minute drive from Christchurch.
What are you currently watching?
I’m watching season 3 of Ozark—I’m a big Jason Bateman fan. I’m also a big Suits fan.
What do you love about it?
Suits has great scripting and nine great seasons to binge-watch! It follows the story of college dropout Mike Ross as he works alongside Harvey Specter—one of New York City’s top lawyers. It’s a very good watch if you’re interested in American law.
